Did the HFPA not get screenings of Milk? It's the only logical explanation i can come up with to explain the complete snub! Does anybody know?

Have they changed the membership!! No Sex & the City, Ricky Gervais, Keira Knightley, Nicole Kidman or Clint Eastwood (did he get in for score?)

I'm glad The Reader is doing well and happy for In Bruges too.

Rebecca Hall? What movie was she in? No Kristen Bell. Worst. Globe. Nominations. Ever.

I hate talking about "locks," but it looks like Slumdog Millionaire, Frost/Nixon, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button are, erm, locks for Best Picture. The next two slots are a crapshot, I think, though Milk should be in there...

Couldn't be, since they did nominate Sean Penn. But really, no Best Pic, Best Director, Brolin, or Franco???

EPIC FAIL HFPA.

Milk going missing is probably gonna be the biggest news out of it... No nods save for Sean Penn... not even Josh Brolin gets a nod (heck, he gets beaten out for a nod by Tom Cruise's cameo!).

Tom Cruise wasn't that funny it was cute for five seconds and then got annoying. I shouldn't be surprised by this stupid nom.

Could the Musical/Comedy nods be any worse? I hate the RDJ nod for Tropic THunder. Lead actor in Comedy/Musical (movies) is VERY weak.

Frak that sh!t. Last Chance Harvey hasn't even been released nationally yet. In Bruges?? Forgetting Sarah Marshall got screwed over, but good.

The Supporting Actress Line Up is pretty great, actually. SO glad that Viola Davis and Marisa Tomei made it!! Tomei proves time and time again that her Oscar win was no fluke!

One question though....

Can someone PLLLEEEEAAAAASSSSSSSSEEEE tell me what is award-worthy (particularly Oscar-worthy!) about Penelope Cruz's performance. Yes, she was charming and funny, but COME ON!
