Forgetting Sarah Marshall could and should score big at the GG's in a lot of categories:

Best Comedy/Musical Motion Picture
Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical: Jason Segel
Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical: Kristen Bell
Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture: Russell Brand
Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture: Mila Kunis
Best Original Song: We've Got To Do Something, Inside of You, Russell Brand

It should get nods in Director (Nicholas Stoller) and Screenplay (Jason Segel), but won't because those categories always are drama-loaded.

Anybody but Sarah Jessica Parker for the win. I wasn't too impressed with the movie and the character of Carrie was pathetic and sent a bad message to women. What's more, the HFPA rewarded her far too many times.

Let's not forget that "Knocked Up" was virtually ignored by the HFPA when it came to Globe nominations. I have a feeling "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" will be...forgotten as well by then. It just came out too early in the year. Segel and Brand are pretty much the only possible acting nominees, but good call with predicting those hilarious songs! They definitely deserve recognition!

After seeing "Burn after Reading," I have a feeling Brad Pitt will steal away any chances Tom Cruise had for a surprise supporting Globe nomination for "Tropic Thunder." Expect Pitt to figure into the Globes top five, but not the Academy's. Also, has anyone seen "The Soloist" yet? Downey, Jr. has garnered raves for his "Tropic Thunder" turn. Do you think the HFPA and Academy will frown on his character's method acting choices?
