I see so many threads, but I would like for this to be the thread for all of this until nomination morning and could a moderator do a sticky thing, that would be very appreciated.

The Hollywood Foreign Press will absolutely nominate Mariah Carey for her performance in "Precious" as a Supporting Actress. They live for this stuff. And the performance is good enough to qualify here, though it is not going to have what it takes to get an Oscar nomination. She is genuine and moving, but she would need to be a bigger part of the story and have more screen time to qualify at the Oscars. In a way, it's a shame she doesn't have a bigger role in the film.

But you can book that Golden Globe nomination now. Huge pop star deglams and scores in a small but nice role in a major kudos player. Hello.

Nominations will be announced on December 15. You can find the full timetable here:

http://www.goldenglobes.org/news/id/142

Also, I have a question: Why are people predicting "Up in the Air" in the drama categories?

I'm pretty sure Curb Your Enthusiasm and Larry David will be nominated. I'm not sure why no one is predicting them.

The comedy category is going to be pretty crowded, plus this season of Curb has left a little bit to be desired, IMO. I don't see Curb getting nodded.

Uh, FlashFoward? Really? The show is beyond awful. It won't get anything. Trust me.

Is V eligible at all? Because if it is, that will be the new show to get in TV Drama.

I dunno. I couldn't think of anything else. I have never even seen an episode, I just know that people like it, so I thought that maybe the Globes would possibly nominate it. If V is eligible then they may go with that instead.

I think we all know that Mad Men will still win though! (I need to catch up on my episodes though Red Face)

• "Up in the Air" will compete at the Golden Globes as a drama. Paramount rep Lea Yardum tells Gold Derby. "We grappled with it since the movie clearly has very distinct elements of both. Ultimately, we polled the members and they felt the movie had the kind of gravitas that would ultimately make it a drama for them."

Got photos of us on my frigerator. Videos on my phone. I just can't erase em. The 1st text I ever got from you still saved in my inbox, and I read it back time after time.

Ultimately, we polled the members and they felt the movie had the kind of gravitas that would ultimately make it a drama for them."

Good to know. Thanks.

I have a feeling though that Clooney may have just lost himself a Globe.

I think A Single Man will do well at The Globes, it's very stylish and right up their alley.
