Yeah, i know a SAG and an Oscar nomination are out of the question. But as crappy as "The House Bunny" was, i thought Anna Faris was insanely hilarious in it. Come on, you did too.
And i was just thinking... If Sandra Bullock managed to snag a nom for "Miss Congeniality", can Anna Faris sneak in and get a nom?
And does it help that her film is an out-and-out comedy? Not a dark comedy, or one of those films that calls itself a comedy but ends up having more drama than laughs.
I'm hoping she sneaks in. It would be nice to see her get some recognition. She's one of the most effortlessly funny women in film nowadays.

I thought Anna Faris was hilarious but the movie and many of the the supporting performances in it reminded me of straight-to-video, cheepie, "National Lampoon" sort of movies which does not seem the stuff even of Golden Globes. "Miss Congeniality" and "Legally Blonde", both of which garnered best actress noms, may have been mediocre but were near masterpieces compared to "The House Bunny".

She was funny in the movie despite how bad it was, but as much as I would like to give credit to the Globes for having balls and nominating her, I don't think it will happen.
2010 Oscars FYC:

I would love for her to get nomm'd but I dont see it happening... I think the Musical Comedy lead actress noms will be...
Rebecca Hall, Vicky Christina Barcelona Sally Hawkins, Happy Go Lucky Sarah Jessica Parker, Sex and the City Meryl Streep, Mamma Mia Emma Thompson, Last Chance Harvey
after that, I'd say Tina Fey (Baby Mama) and Frances McDormand (Burn After Reading or Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day)...
