This is my favourite category. Here in my predictions:
Christina Appelgate show (Samantha Who?) it was canceled. Julia Lois-Dreyfus it is not nominated for this awards for a long time already. Mary Louise Parker and Tina Fey are safe nominees. America Ferrara is dubious. Toni Colette may be the new with Edie Falcoval. Maybe came back the Desperate Housewives ladys with this category?
Safe: Tina Fey "30 Rock" Mary-Louise Parker "Weeds"
Big chance: Toni Colette "United States of Tara"
Maybe: America Ferrara "Ugly Betty" Felicity Huffman "Desperate Housewives" Edie Falco "Nurse Jackie" Julia Lois-Dreyfus "The New Adventures of Old Christine"
And the others: Eva Longoria Parker "Desperate Housewives" Marcia Cross "Desperate Housewives" Teri Hatcher "Desperate Housewives"
I want to see this: Huffman / Ev. Longoria / Hatcher / Colette / Fey
I will to see this: Fey / Falco / Ferrara / Colette / Mary L. PArker
FYC OSCAR and GOLDEN-GLOBE 2010:
Meryl Streep - Julie & Julia Julianne Moore - A Single Man
Courtney Cox for 'Cougar Town' could be a strong contender regardless of whether or not her show is well recieved. If it's at least a decent hit and she gives a good performance she's in.
Are there any other new network comedies premiering this fall that look promising. We could always get a surprise nom like Anna Friel's in 2008.
Right now, I'll say it will be:
1. Tina Fey 2. Toni Collette 3. Edie Falco 4. Mary-Louise Parker 5. Courtney Cox-Arquette

I hope Edie Falco will be not nominated, because she's not better rhan DH girls! She's show is very boring and like this Grey's Anatomy, House, ER....no more hospital series please! Something new ???
FYC OSCAR and GOLDEN-GLOBE 2010:
Meryl Streep - Julie & Julia Julianne Moore - A Single Man
Why has no one mentioned Amy Poehler for Parks and Recreations. I know the show isn't the greatest, but I have a good feeling she will be nominated for a Globe.
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories
Toni Collette, United States of Tara (Showtime) Courteney Cox, Cougar Town (ABC) Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie (Showtime) Tina Fey, 30 Rock (NBC) Mary-Louise Parker, Weeds (Showtime)
Golden Globes love fresh blood. Early reviews indicate Cox is award-worthy, so I'm putting her in with Collette and Falco, who should join Fey and Parker.
I still think ferrera has a bigger shot then cox i mean i know she was not recently nominated for an emmy this time but look at calista flockhart for ally mcbeal she always got nominated for globes when the emmys snubbed her and plus if cox should of got one it should of been years ago for friends but im surprised no one has mentioned patricia heaton for the middle
My very accurate predicitions (in alphabetical order):
Toni Collette United States of Tara Courteney Cox-Arquette Cougar Town Tina Fey 30 Rock Edie Falco Nurse Jackie Mary-Louise Parker Weeds
If not Cox-Arquette then Amy Poehler for "Parks & Recreations". America Ferrera is finally out. Even Billie Piper has a bigger chance of getting a nomination than Ferrera. As for the winner, it's all about Toni Collette. She's overdue for a Golden Globe and if the last year taught us anything, HFPA loves to give overdue awards (Anna Paquin for TV and Kate Winslet for feature).

1. Toni Colette, United States of Tara 2. Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie 3. Tina Fey, 30 Rock 4. Mary-Louise Parker, Weeds 5. Felicity Huffman, Desperate Housewives

Wow... you clearly don't know anything about quality TV. Billie Piper can act circles around America Ferrera. She gave the best performance by leading actress in comedy series last season IMO. And her show is miles better than "UGly Betty". I get it, you're a one big fat Ferrera's fanboy so I think I will leave you in your biased world. Bye.

Listen all im saying is think piper ithink ferrera listen who knows maybe both wont get in but lets just have our own opinions but don't refer to me as biased for having an opinion

Ferrera has a shot, but I think you are being a fan ahead of being a predictor. The Golden Globes love to nominate actors and actresses from hot new shows with a lot of buzz. Ugly Betty seems to have lost its favor with every awards group and its own network even (ABC dumping it to Fridays).

5. Felicity Huffman, Desperate Housewives
Huffman hasn't been nominated at the Golden Globes for Desperate Housewives since 2007. Why would she get back in all of a sudden? Just curious.
I think she's better than everybody (Fey,Falco,Ferrara,PArker, Dreyfus)....she's a best with Colette. She's brilliant and i want to see her in this category next year!
FYC OSCAR and GOLDEN-GLOBE 2010:
Meryl Streep - Julie & Julia Julianne Moore - A Single Man
1. Toni Collette (LOCKED) 2. Edie Falco (POSSIBLY LOCKED, BECAUSE SHE'S EDIE FALCO!) 3. Tina Fey (LOCKED) 4. Mary-Louise Parker (She may be bumped out because this season of Weeds is awful, her spot may open doors for the housewife....) 5. Courteney Cox-Arquette (Let's see how her show goes..) 6. Felicity Huffman (She'll have an interesting storyline this season)
POSSIBLE
7. Marcia Cross (Way overdue! IMHO) 8. Eva Longoria Parker (Amazing in Season 5) 9. Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Meh... she's just insufferable) 10. America Ferrera (No Emmy nomination may hurt her chances)
