Yes, this is a topic most have likely more than heard of by now However this terrific site & fan-base should join the crowd-(given it's knowledgable following, etc) & just about every other cinematic medium has done so already-(AFI-(l977, 1987, 1998 & 2007), BFI-(voted "The Third Man" A #1), EW, Premiere, even TV Guide, Classic Images/Films of the Golden Age, imdb.com held a massive survey & "Shawshank Redemption" edged out my own fav *"The Godfather") & of course the famous-(or to several infamous>Sight & Sound Survey-(Est: 1952- Though it was it's 1962 survey that "Kane" gained it's rep & from then on.
Almost all of these were kickstarted with The American Film Institute's 1998 "100yrs...100 Movies"-(P.S. my own fav is the follow-up on favorite actors & actresses But for some reason they utterly refuse to cover directors? Instead AFI has had just too-many other follow-ups instead)
ANYHOW, PLEASE CONSIDER
