If you don't see something on the comedy lists, that means the film or TV show is in drama

I'm sure people will be pleased that Rachel Getting Married is being considered in the Drama category at the Golden Globes. That leaves the field wide open to Sally Hawkins and Meryl Streep.

I do not want to disappoint our Japanese public, especially Godzilla. Hahaha! I'm just kidding, I know he doesn't care what humans do.

Thank GOD Rachel Getting Married is in Drama, all that talk about it being in Comedy was ridiculous.

Please, please, Streep over Hawkins! Happy Go Lucky made me itch! Very annoying flick.

W as drama...that is a stretch also.

W. feels like a cross between dramedy but drama feels like a better fit. It will just have a harder time now...especially for Brolin.

I found Happy-Go-Lucky to be a very charming film. I don't think just any actress could pull off such a charismatic and vibrant performance like Sally Hawkins did.

On the TV side, I am very surprised to see no Little Britain USA, Secret Diary of a Call Girl (the only one I think could be classified as a drama, even though it was advertised as a comedy), State of the Union, or Summer Heights High. The HFPA usually goes for the British stuff. Also, this means that the only new shows in contention on the comedy side are Gary Unmarried, Kath & Kim, The Life and Times of Tim, Privileged, Rita Rocks, The Starter Wife, and Worst Week. The HFPA also tries to reward new shows, but I can't see them showering any of these with nods. The eligibility list also leaves off Reno 911, The Sarah Silverman Program, Scrubs and 10 Items or Less (while including My Boys), in addition to most canceled shows. Really slim pickings overall!

Hopefully, this means that there will be some farewell nominations to Pushing Daisies.

For Your Grammy Consideration:
Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories

This also means that "Iron Man" is in the drama categories?? If so, it had some chances in the comedy categories (film, actor) but will not get anything in drama.

I can't believe that Iron Man wasn't submitted as a comedy. I thought it had a great shot for Best Comedy, and I definitely had Robert Downey Jr. pegged for a Lead Actor nod.

A series has to air seven episodes to be eligible at the Golden Globes. "Little Britain USA" and "State of the Union" didn't fulfil that requirement.

Also, I am not sure whether "Summer Heights High" and "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" are American co-productions. If they are foreign shows that just happened to air on American television, they are ineligible.

Am I misreading the list or is "Synecdoche, New York" in the drama categories?

I wonder who will get nominated for Lead Actor in a Musical or Comedy. Josh Brolin, Robert Downey Jr and Philip Seymour Hoffman were considered strong contenders. The category seems pretty weak this year.
