Some people, if they don't know, you can't tell 'em.

No real surprises here, unless you count finding out that Oklahoma actually has a Film Critics Circle. (Does the state even have enough critics to form the points of a Film Critics Square?)

I suppose now we should wait for the Alaskan Film Critics Association to weigh in, but Sarah Palin has probably burned most of the movies.

"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide."
- Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)

I received two emails today where she has shot Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, so she may have put the burning off 'til the New Year....

WOW another Tomei win, congrats to her! She's gotta have almost as man as Cruz now doesn't she? Could we possibly have a new frontrunner/contender to Cruz?

I'd LOVE to see Marisa win the Globe. Her SAG snub sucked.

Marisa has one more win than Cruz. Cruz won the critics that matter, though and managed nods at ISA and SAG, which are two organizations Tomei was snubbed.
