After taking a break for a year the Black Reel Awards are back with their 2008 nominees. Cadillac Records lead the pack with nine nominations. Secret Life of Bees & Slumdog Millionaire took the most wins with 2 a piece.

Yes, I don't get that either. It's really weird that Beyonce Knowles couldn't even score a nomination here. However, I'm really shocked that Jenny Lumet couldn't score a nomination for Best Screenplay. Did they really need to nominate Tyler Perry twice here? Do they not know that she is biracial?
