Blanchett/Winslet Fan, I love Cate and Kate (Winslet's my favorite younger actress) but it's starting to be offputting your exclamations of Garbage and Yuk everytime these fine actresses aren't on someone's list! A little more dignity and maturity and respect for other's opinions would go a long way on this site. I'm one of those people who loved Penelope Cruz's performance, and like the majority of critics so far, believe she gave the most memorable supporting performance this year. I plan on seeing The Reader soon, but have serious doubts that Winslet's role is really a supporting performance!

I found the missing piece to the Globes' snub nomination of Michael Shannon! I am really surprised that he is the sole major nominee for Revolutionary Road here. But other than that, I am glad to see Richard Jenkins here and especially Colin Watkinson for Cinematography for The Fall. And the supporting actress lineup is the best I've seen yet!

You know, it's extremely surprising that The Dark Knight did not win here. Wasn't The Dark Knight filmed in Chicago? Well, that wouldn't really be a good reason for it to win automatically but it would definitely be a source of pride for them. Still Wall-E has another victory under it's belt!
I do not want to disappoint our Japanese public, especially Godzilla. Hahaha! I'm just kidding, I know he doesn't care what humans do.
Hooray for Winslet's win. After all these small critic awards I am gettinge excited to finally seeing a major awards show soon. Is it the Globes that comes up first?
