Hopefully next year, us Desperate Housewives supporters can get that show it's first win for Best Comedy Series. I know that a bunch of it's supporters forgot to vote in this years Gold derby awards, but next year we won't make the same mistake again.

What I read above:

"Hopefully next year, us Desperate Housewives supporters can get that show it's first win for Best Comedy Series, even though its 6th season might suck as much as its 5th did. I know that a bunch of its supporters forgot to vote in this years Gold derby awards, or were ashamed to do so after such a horrible season, but next year we won't make the same mistake again."

Come on, you already got "Bang" to win Best Comedic Episode over jewels like "Slap Bet" and "The Job", not to mention great episodes of the first season of 30 Rock that weren't even nominated ("Black Tie" and "Hardball"). That's OK, because Bang was indeed a good episode, just not a comedic one.

“Best Thing That Ever Could Have Happened”, however, wasn't even a good episode, and still got a nomination. Just because it was the best episode in a season of a show with a solid fanbase doesn't mean it's good. Thank God the Emmys know that since 2006.

Desperate Housewives hasn't deserved any awards for years now, so be happy that it somehow managed multiple series nominations here.

I'm shocked and disappointed by all the Lost wins for Drama Series. It even beat The Sopranos in its final season.

Well, those are your guys opinion. Many other people think differently and DH will be back on top for the next awards.

I'm surprised too that Lost managed to snag 3 Drama Series. And so does The Office. I didn't realise until I read through this thread. Admittedly, I voted for The Office the three times it won though.

Are you from the future? Do you know how the entire season will play out? Because you sound so certain it'll be amazing.

Those two Kiefer Sutherland wins back to back are random and weird. It wasn't even his best years. I mean he is always great on the show but over Gandolfini and McShane ? No.

Also it is very disappointing that Lost beat The Sopranos and Laurie beat Gandolfini for the final year of The Sopranos.

Call me a hater but Lost does not deserve to win three of the last five Best Drama Series recognitions.

I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

I think that it makes more sense when you look at the years individually to see what it was going up against.
